The Galvion Smart Textile is the power and data distribution system integrated into the operator's personal equipment, designed to solve the critical problem of individual battery proliferation that characterizes the modern soldier — radio, NVG, tactical camera, biometric sensor, C2 tablet — each with its own battery pack, charger, and failure point, with an aggregate battery weight that can exceed 3 kg on long-range missions.
The system integrates a 6 ampere DC power bus at 5V and 12V in the structural fabric of the tactical vest via 80-gram total high-flexibility flat cables, with power outlets at standard equipment mounting positions (shoulders, lateral chest, waist). Quarter-turn snap connectors with polarity coding allow connection and disconnection of any equipment in under 3 seconds with combat gloves, without short-circuit risk.
A single hot-swappable 30,000 mAh removable central battery simultaneously powers all equipment connected to the bus, replacing up to 6 individual batteries and reducing the operator's total power supply weight by over 1.5 kg. The power management module with integrated OLED display on the vest shows the central battery charge status and per-channel consumption, allowing the operator to prioritize power during a failure or extended mission.
