Galvion
Galvion Nexus Helmet Modular Tactical Helmet System with Systems Integration
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Galvion Nexus Helmet is the next-generation tactical helmet system that transcends the simple ballistic helmet concept to become a platform for advanced systems integration on the soldier's head, maintaining total weight below 1.1 kg even with all systems integrated.
The high-modulus woven aramid shell with optimized obliquity for pistol projectiles provides NIJ IIIA protection at 0.88 kg in medium size, significantly below the 1.3-1.5 kg of conventional aramid helmets. The low-profile geometry maximizes peripheral visual field and allows use of weapon systems in prone position without interference.
The Galvion Nexus Rail Platform provides 4 side picatinny rails, 1 front rail, and 1 machined central NVG connector, compatible with the entire STANAG 4694 accessory family. The cable channel integrated inside the rail structure routes power and data cables from the MOLLE vest battery to devices on the helmet without external cables. The Galvion CONNECT Hub mounts in the rear position of the Nexus, integrating energy management and data communications of all subsystems into a single node.
