Cohu's M-Series is a gyroscopically stabilized sensor platform for mobile surveillance missions where fixed PTZ systems are insufficient: moving patrol vehicles, fixed-wing or rotary-wing airborne systems, high-speed watercraft, and deployable mobile towers.

Three-axis gyroscopic stabilization compensates for carrier platform movement with stabilization resolution of <25 µrad, enabling identification of a human target at 2,000 meters while the vehicle traverses rough terrain at 80 km/h. This capability transforms a patrol vehicle into a tactical ISR platform that streams georeferenced video in real time to the ATAK tactical network and command post.

Field-interchangeable sensors — high-definition EO camera, LWIR thermal, long-range MWIR — allow configuring the platform per mission without replacing the stabilization system and control interface. For maritime security operations in the Peruvian domain (coastline, Amazon rivers, and Lake Titicaca), the MWIR thermal and shipborne stabilization combination delivers vessel tracking at distances exceeding 5 km.
