Technical specifications
Technical overview
The NYX is Theon Sensors' reference night vision monocular for security forces requiring high Gen 2+ performance at a per-unit cost significantly below US Gen 3. Gen 2+ image intensification technology amplifies available light (moon, stars, residual urban illumination) between 25,000 and 50,000 times — sufficient to move, identify people, and handle weapons in extreme darkness conditions at tactical operating distances.
The NYX is designed for STANAG 2338 mounting compatible with all modern ballistic helmets (MICH, FAST, ACH), and the J-Arm mount adapter allows configuring it as a left or right monocular per operator preference. Unlike heavier binocular NVGs, the 450 g NYX minimizes neck fatigue during extended operations. Photocathode sensitivity of >600 µA/lm ensures usable images even in completely dark conditions at 0.001 lux (moonless night without stars).
