Technical overview
Rolatube's System 50 is the CFRP rollable carbon fiber mast family for operations where weight and deployment speed are critical. With a 51mm tube diameter, it covers heights of 2, 3, and 4 meters on a common base system. The bi-stable CFRP laminate technology — the same principle Rolatube originally developed for deployable satellite antennas — transforms a flat rolled sheet into a rigid tubular structure the instant it is deployed: no tools, no mechanical locks, no parts to fail.
In tactical operations the System 50 is the squad and individual operator mast: the 2m version fits in a tactical cargo pocket and elevates the radio above immediate obstacles in seconds, the 3m adapts to a MOLLE pouch for vest-carry, and the 4m goes in the assault pack covering most platoon link scenarios. All three share the same base, the same antenna adapters, and the same deployment procedure — the logistics of one family, not three separate products.
