Technical overview
The Polo Marconi SATCOM Manpack is the portable satellite communications solution for forces operating in areas beyond terrestrial network coverage, enabling voice, data, and video conference communications from any point with satellite visibility.
The 45 cm flat-panel antenna deploys and points automatically in less than 3 minutes. The automatic satellite acquisition system (auto-ACQ) locates the satellite without operator intervention, eliminating the need for satcom technical knowledge. Supports commercial Ka-band (Intelsat, SES, Eutelsat) and Ku-band satellites.
The integrated modem provides data channel up to 2 Mbps (downlink) / 512 kbps (uplink) for compressed video transmission, intelligence data, and VoIP. End-to-end AES-256 link encryption guarantees communications security. Weighs 12 kg complete with field tripod.
