Technical overview
The Polo Marconi HF Manpack 20W is the long-range communications solution for dismounted units operating beyond VHF/UHF or satellite coverage. Covers the full 1.6–30 MHz range with selectable power of 1, 5, and 20 W.
Implements ALE (Automatic Link Establishment) per MIL-STD-188-141B, automatically scanning the HF spectrum and establishing links on the optimal frequency in under 30 seconds. Compatible with Peruvian Armed Forces and regional allied HF networks.
The modular design separates the control unit from the transceiver, enabling radio operation from a protected position while the antenna is deployed outside. Includes integrated voice encryption.
