Technical overview
The Mohoc M5 MultiSensor is the second-generation evolution of Mohoc's tactical body camera, designed for the special forces operator or police SWAT team that needs to capture audiovisual evidence in nighttime and total darkness operating conditions without sacrificing the high-resolution visual channel available when illumination exists — the M5 captures both channels physically simultaneously, not in alternating mode, allowing the post-mission intelligence analyst to select the optimal channel for each moment of the recording based on the lighting conditions of that moment.
The 4K/60fps visual channel with f/2.0 aperture and 90° FOV is optimized for capture in low-illumination environments — building interiors with single light source, corridors with emergency lighting — without active illumination assistance that would reveal the operator's position. The 320×240 pixel LWIR thermal channel with 50 mK NETD captures the heat signature of people, hot post-discharge weapons, and vehicles simultaneously in the same 98-gram housing, with the edge AI processor analyzing both streams in real time and generating automatic event tags — person detection, weapon discharge by thermal signature, compartment entry — with precise microsecond timestamp synchronized with the internal GNSS for post-operation forensic reconstruction.
Bluetooth ATAK integration allows the operator camera's GPS position to appear in real time on the command post's tactical map — the commander sees all team operator icons updating at 1 Hz on their ATAK tablet during the operation, with camera event timestamps synchronized with the map. Recorded evidence is stored in the 256 GB internal memory with AES-256 encryption with an operational key the operator activates at mission start that makes evidence inaccessible without the chain of custody decryption key — a critical requirement for forensic admissibility before the judiciary.
