INVISIO PTX Weapon PTT Controller with Picatinny Rail Mount for Fire and Movement Operations
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The INVISIO PTX is the weapon-mounted PTT controller designed for the most critical use case of tactical communications: the operator in contact with the enemy who needs to transmit on the command network without releasing the weapon — because the time to release the weapon, press the vest PTT, transmit, and re-engage the weapon can be the differential between responding to the threat and receiving fire without response in the 2-3 seconds of exposure.
The PTX mounts directly on the left Picatinny rail of the rifle handguard — without tools, via the rail adapter grub screw fastening system — and positions the thumb switch exactly where the shooter's left thumb rests naturally on the handguard with a combat grip. The switch geometry allows activating the PTT with the distal phalanx of the thumb without modifying the weapon grip or the index finger position on the trigger guard, keeping the weapon ready to fire throughout the transmission.
The 60cm shielded cable with LEMO quick-connect connector connects the PTX to the INVISIO controller on vest or belt, with stainless steel mesh cable protection that resists abrasion from concrete edges, dense vegetation, and the wear cycle of repeated connect/disconnect during equipment changes. The PTX is assignable to any channel on the INVISIO controller via the configuration app, allowing the operator to decide if the weapon PTT activates radio channel 1 (command network), radio 2 (fire support), or simultaneous transmission on both channels.
