The Galvion Viper SFC (Smart Flotation Carrier) is the load-carrying vest system designed for the amphibious special forces operator — riverine patrols in the Amazon basin, Navy VBSS teams, or amphibious assault from LCVP — who needs the ballistic protection of an ESAPI plate carrier together with the water survival capability that conventional carriers eliminate by sinking under the weight of armor and equipment.

The closed-cell polyethylene foam buoyancy cell integrated in the vest provides 75 Newtons of buoyancy force in seawater with the carrier loaded to full operational weight — including front and rear Level III+ ESAPI plates at 3.8 kg each, two portable radios, and standard combat load ammunition — maintaining the operator's center of buoyancy in survival position with head above water without voluntary action. The three-point quick-release system — two lateral rings and a magnetic sternal closure — allows the operator to completely detach from the carrier in under 3 seconds with one hand in an accidental immersion emergency without visibility, a critical time for survival before loss of orientation underwater.
