The Eventide MediaLog Edge is the recording system designed for the deployable tactical operations center that needs to document all operation communications — field team radio transmissions, telephone coordination with allied forces, medical emergency dispatch — in a unit that fits in a Pelican case, is powered from a 12/24 VDC vehicle battery, and allows the intelligence officer to search and play back any transmission from the last 72 hours in under 30 seconds without specialized technical staff.

Real-time automatic indexing processes the metadata of each recorded channel — radio frequency, channel ID, P25 or TETRA radio ID if available, GPS-synchronized timestamp with precision PPS, transmission duration, audio level — and stores it in an embedded SQLite database allowing complex boolean queries from the web interface: search all transmissions on the Command Group operations channel between 14:30 and 16:00 with duration over 10 seconds, ordered by time, and play them sequentially in the browser without downloading files.

RAID-1 SSD storage with two 2 TB disks guarantees that a disk failure does not interrupt recording or playback: the system continues recording on the surviving disk and alerts the operator, who can hot-swap the disk in under a minute without tools and without stopping recording.
