Eventide Cloud Archive Hybrid Cloud Archive for Critical Communications Recordings
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Eventide Cloud Archive is the second-generation hybrid archiving system designed for emergency dispatch centers, police agencies, and public safety organizations that need to guarantee the legal and forensic availability of all their communications recordings during the retention periods required by regulation — up to 7 years in many jurisdictions — without relying exclusively on local storage capacity that is costly to scale and fragile under physical disasters.
The system automatically replicates in real time the recordings from the local recording system (Eventide RA Series, NexLog DX, or MediaLog IP) to the organization's private cloud storage or to FedRAMP-certified clouds on AWS GovCloud or Azure Government. Replication uses end-to-end AES-256 encryption with keys managed by the organization — not the cloud provider — guaranteeing that recordings are not accessible by third parties even in a provider breach scenario.
The automatic indexing engine extracts metadata from each recording — channel, operator, duration, AI transcription, event markers — and stores it in a distributed searchable index that allows locating any archived communication in under 5 seconds from the web interface or REST API. The forensic export function automatically generates the evidence package with digital chain of custody, SHA-256 hash signature, and access log required by judicial procedures.
