Drones Latam UAS Trainer — Military and Security Drone Pilot Certification Program
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Drones Latam UAS Trainer program is the training and certification solution for defense and security organizations that operate or plan to operate UAS systems in ISR missions, reconnaissance, border surveillance, ground operations support, or critical infrastructure inspection. Unlike DGAC civil pilot programs that certify commercial operation in controlled airspace, the UAS Trainer includes specific tactical operation modules: GPS-denied navigation (jam/spoof), night operation with EO/IR sensors, encrypted communications between pilot and command post, and emergency procedures in hostile environments.
The program consists of three phases: 40 theoretical hours covering DGAC/FAP regulations and tactical mission planning; 20 simulator hours covering search, moving target tracking, and degraded operation scenarios; and 40 real flight hours progressing from multirotor ISR drones to VTOL fixed-wing drones, including 10 hours of night operation with thermal sensors.
Final certification accredits the pilot for UAS operations in ISR missions under DGAC Specific category regulation and issues a tactical competency certificate recognized by the Peruvian Armed Forces.
