Cohu RISE PTZ — High-Speed PTZ Camera for Perimeter and Infrastructure Surveillance
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Cohu RISE PTZ is the high-speed motorized dome camera for perimeter surveillance applications where camera movement response time is critical for intercepting moving targets: the speed of 600°/s pan and 300°/s tilt allows the camera to complete a 180° sweep in less than 0.3 seconds, sufficient to follow a vehicle at 120 km/h in a 50-meter radius perimeter without losing frame.
Cohu's AI-based automatic target tracking engine processes 4K video in the camera itself (edge computing) without depending on a central server: when the operator clicks on a target in the VMS interface, the RISE PTZ locks on and follows it automatically while maintaining optimal framing even if the target changes direction or speed.
For high-security installations in Peru — Lurigancho prison, COES generation plants, Lima and Cusco airports, Camisea LNG plants, and Armed Forces installations — the Cohu RISE PTZ provides the perimeter coverage level that allows reducing physical surveillance personnel without degrading detection capability.
