Bitstream
Bitstream Sync Monitor Synchronization Audit Tool
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Bitstream Sync Monitor is the continuous diagnostics and audit tool for network administrators who need to verify and document time synchronization across PTP IEEE 1588v2 and NTP networks in critical infrastructure.
The system actively probes all nodes in the synchronization network and reports deviations, jitter, MTIE, and TDEV in real time with configurable history up to 1 year. When a node's deviation exceeds the user-defined threshold, it generates immediate alerts via SNMP, email, or webhook.
The dashboard interface displays the complete PTP tree topology with status of each node, active reference grandmaster, and synchronization path. Exportable audit reports in PDF certify compliance with ITU-T G.8271 and IEEE 1588 for regulators and external auditors.
