Technical overview
The Zetron RCU 6000 is the base station remote control unit designed for mission-critical radio network operators who need to control, monitor, and maintain multiple repeater and base station sites — from different manufacturers, in different bands, and different technologies (analog, DMR, P25) — from a single centralized dispatch console without deploying technicians in the field for routine switching tasks.
The unit connects to the site radio equipment via 4-wire audio interface and control signaling line, and to the control center via IP (LAN/WAN) or ISDN with G.711/G.729 audio codec and end-to-end latency under 150 milliseconds — transparent for real-time voice dispatch operations. From the dispatch console, the operator controls PTT transmission, channel selection, audio level adjustment, and reading of radio equipment status parameters (output power, temperature, VSWR alarms) without depending on proprietary radio manufacturer protocols.
The continuous monitoring system generates automatic alerts on site power failure, RF signal level degradation, loss of remote control link, or temperature threshold exceedance. The trunking priority control function allows the network supervisor to reconfigure the active repeater plan in real time during contingencies without field technical intervention.
