Simoco SDP770 TETRA Portable Terminal with Integrated GPS, Bluetooth, and NFC for Field Operations
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Simoco SDP770 is the next-generation TETRA portable terminal designed for the field agent who needs to integrate in a single device encrypted group voice communication, real-time GPS location, passwordless identity authentication, and physical asset NFC reading — eliminating the need to carry multiple devices (radio, GPS, NFC reader, mobile phone) that increase individual equipment weight and complicate battery management during 12-hour shifts.
The 16-channel GPS with -165 dBm sensitivity records agent position every 5 seconds and transmits it to the dispatch management system via the TETRA Location Information Protocol (LIP), allowing the dispatcher to view all field agent positions in real time on the CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) map without the agent verbally reporting their location. In urban environments with degraded signal, the dead-reckoning algorithm maintains the calculated trajectory for up to 90 seconds until satellite signal is recovered.
NFC integration (13.56 MHz, ISO/IEC 14443 standard) enables two critical use cases without hardware modification: user authentication via NFC ID card before unlocking the terminal (eliminating passwords with gloves) and reading NFC tags attached to physical assets — technical room doors, fire extinguishers, protective equipment — to automatically log the inspection in the document management system via a TETRA data communication simultaneous to an active voice session.
