Simoco SwiftSite MIMO Broadband Access Point for High-Capacity Tactical Data Network on 4.9 GHz Band
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Simoco SwiftSite MIMO is the broadband access point designed for public safety agencies and armed forces that need a high-speed data network in the field — for body camera video transmission, UAV drone streaming, intelligence download, and CAD system access from vehicles — without depending on commercial 4G/5G infrastructure that may be congested, damaged, or non-existent in operational zones and severe emergencies.
The SwiftSite operates in the 4.9 GHz band (4940-4990 MHz) assigned exclusively for public safety use in more than 40 countries, providing throughput of up to 150 Mbps in 5-kilometer point-to-point mode with the integrated 14 dBi MIMO 2x2 antenna system — enough to simultaneously transmit 4 Full HD video streams from body cameras plus the common situational GIS map of the incident, plus BPTT voice communications from all operators connected to the AP. The multi-mode configuration includes WiFi access point for first responder devices within 300 meters radius, wireless LAN network extension up to 800 meters, and point-to-point backhaul up to 5 kilometers in the same unit without additional hardware.
The environmental resistance design combines IP67 sealing with aeronautical aluminum structure without forced ventilation — the fin heatsink integrated in the chassis manages operating temperature between -40°C and +70°C via natural convection, eliminating fan failures that are the main cause of failure of conventional access points in long-term outdoor environments. The included 50 mm mast mount allows installation on command vehicles, signage poles, or Rolatube masts deployed in 10 minutes without telecom tools.
