Simoco SDB685 — DMR Digital Base Station
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Simoco SDB685 base station is the central infrastructure node of the Simoco DMR radio communications ecosystem for industrial and security applications in harsh environments. Unlike rack-mounted base stations designed for air-conditioned equipment rooms, the SDB685 has an IP67-sealed chassis that allows direct installation in non-air-conditioned cabinets, edge enclosures, or telecom towers at remote sites where the external environment — extreme temperature, dust, humidity — is the normal operating condition.
The SDB685 supports operation in both conventional DMR Tier II and DMR Tier III trunking from the same hardware, with adjustable output power between 1 and 50 W to optimize coverage without exceeding local regulatory limits.
For DMR network operators in mines, plantations, remote energy facilities, and public safety systems in Peru, the SDB685 solves the reliability problem in the last kilometer: the IP67 hardware eliminates corrosion and contamination failures that affect conventionally designed base stations in tropical or coastal climates, while the certified MTBF of over 100,000 hours reduces preventive maintenance costs at hard-to-access sites.
