Technical overview
The SIMOCO Xd SDM730 is the flagship digital mobile of the Xd family, designed for vehicle installation in fleets of public services, transport, utilities, and mining. It supports the three operating modes of the standard — analog, DMR Tier II conventional, and DMR Tier III trunked — enabling migration from legacy to digital networks without replacing all field equipment at once. The advanced fleet management of Tier III includes call priority, dynamic unit grouping, and support for data applications (telemetry, short messaging, status).
Integrates GPS for unit tracking and position reporting, and Bluetooth for pairing with in-vehicle hands-free accessories. The physical interface is designed for operational use with gloves and in-vehicle cabin, with large buttons and physical controls for volume and channel. It pairs with Simoco Xd Dispatch as the central console, Simoco Pulse for SCADA-over-PMR applications, and the SDP760/SDP660 portable family for handheld complement.
