4m Squad Rollable Mast
Technical specifications
Technical overview
Rolatube's 4-meter mast fills the tactical gap between handheld antennas and the 6-meter field mast: when the squad needs to elevate a VHF/UHF antenna to overcome local obstacles or improve the link to the next network node, the 4m mast provides sufficient height gain for most infantry scenarios without the weight or deployment time of the 6-meter model.
The 4m mast weighs just 1.9 kg and fits packed in a standard assault pack (packed length: 40 cm). A single operator deploys it vertically in under 20 seconds without tools, using the same CFRP self-stiffening mechanism as the entire Rolatube family. The 8 kg tip load capacity allows elevating VHF antennas (SINCGARS, PRC-152), UHF directional Yagis, 2W repeaters, or small-format security cameras — covering 80% of squad and platoon antenna elevation needs without resorting to the 6-meter mast.
In terms of communications ecosystem integration, the 4m mast becomes the natural complement to the TrellisWare TW-950 radio: it elevates the mesh node antenna between 1.5 and 2.5 meters above the operator's position, multiplying the mesh link range in dense vegetation or urban environments. For teams operating the 6m mast as their field configuration, the 4m serves as a rapid reconfiguration option when the tactical situation demands immediate mobility without abandoning communications equipment.
