Technical overview
The Polo Marconi ECOFLY is the tactical aeronautical radio designed for military aircraft control ground stations, JTAC coordination posts, and air operations centers requiring encrypted communications with fixed-wing aircraft and combat helicopters in the VHF AM (118-137 MHz) and UHF AM (225-400 MHz) aeronautical bands.
The integrated HAVE QUICK II module allows operating in anti-jamming frequency hopping mode synchronized with NATO aircraft equipped with this system, essential for CAS (Close Air Support) operations in environments with adversarial electronic warfare threat. The integrated GPS time synchronization guarantees frequency hopping coherence between the ground station and aircraft.
COMSEC encryption with classified NATO algorithms provides confidentiality of air-ground communications in operational environments. The portable 1.8 kg design with backlit TFT display allows operation as a handheld radio for advanced JTAC teams, with vehicle mounting option via the V2 mounting kit.
