Technical overview
The Kalkitech IEC 61850 Gateway is the solution for modernizing electrical infrastructure critical substations without replacing existing IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices). Converts legacy protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-101/104, DLMS) to IEC 61850 MMS/GOOSE in real time.
Supports complete substation equipment modeling in SCL schema (ICD, SSD, SCD) for transparent integration with modern SCADA, EMS, and HMI systems. GOOSE message translation latency is below 4 ms for bus differential protection.
Industrialized hardware operates at -40°C to +70°C with IEC 61850-3 certification. DIN rail mounting with redundant power supply 24/48/110/220 VDC. Certified for protection and control applications in transmission substations.
