Juggernaut Armor Tablet Armored Android Tablet for Field Mission Command with Ballistic Resistance IIIA
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Juggernaut Armor Tablet is the mission command tablet designed for the tactical command officer who needs to run ATAK (Android Team Awareness Kit) applications, view the COP (Common Operating Picture) in real time, and communicate via digital voice over MANET from a device that can survive the physical environment of the forward command post — secondary fragmentation, handgun-caliber small arms projectiles, rain, dust, and extreme temperature — without the volume and weight of a rack-mounted military computer that requires vehicle power and is immovable.
The shell integrates an 8mm-thick UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) fiber front panel providing NIJ IIIA ballistic protection against pistol projectiles up to 9mm +P and .44 Magnum, without adding ferromagnetic metal that would interfere with the integrated compass sensors and GNSS navigation systems that ATAK uses for own positioning. MIL-STD-810H certification covers armored vehicle vibration (Method 514.8), 40G shock (Method 516.8), 95% humidity (Method 507.6), and -20°C to +55°C temperature (Method 501.7), validating performance under M-ATV or MRAP operating conditions.
The integrated 5W MANET (Mobile Ad hoc NETwork) radio operates in the 4.4-5.0 GHz band with MIMO 2x2 protocol, forming a self-configuring mesh network between same-unit tablets with mesh latency under 15 milliseconds for COP GPS position updates. Native integration with WinTak (Windows) and iTak (iOS) allows the company commander's ATAK tablet to display positions of section teams operating with iTak iPads or WinTak laptops without a relay server when direct mesh link covers the area of operations.
