INVISIO T3 Multi-Radio PTT Controller for Operators Managing Up to Three Simultaneous Radios
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The INVISIO T3 is the PTT controller designed for the communications operator who must simultaneously manage three radio networks from different manufacturers and standards — a P25 trunking network for tactical coordination, a SATCOM network for headquarters link, and an analog VHF network for coordination with adjacent units — without the ergonomic and operational penalty of managing three separate radios with their respective headsets, cables, and PTTs.
The T3 connects up to three radios via the INVISIO LP360 multi-brand connector with adapters for Harris, Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, and Thales, and mixes their audio signals in the operator's headset via 24-bit digital processing: the primary channel sounds at full volume while secondary channels sound at a configurable reduced level (−6 dB or −12 dB) so the operator can simultaneously monitor three networks without missing any relevant traffic. When there is voice activity on a secondary channel, the T3 automatically raises its level for 2 seconds via the Voice Activity Detection (VAD) algorithm to ensure the operator hears it without manual adjustment.
The T3's automatic noise level compensation (ANL) measures the ambient noise level captured by the headset microphone and adjusts in real time the receive volume of all three channels and transmit microphone gain, ensuring the operator hears clearly in acoustically demanding environments — a COP with generators, a CH-47 cabin, a firing position — without manual intervention. Transmission switching time between radios is under 50 milliseconds, allowing response on the same radio on which the message was received without perceptible communication interruption.
