Drones Latam Swarm Kit System of Four Coordinated Micro-Drones for Distributed ISR and Area Coverage in Urban Operations
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Drones Latam Swarm Kit is the four-drone coordinated swarm system designed to provide wide-area ISR coverage in urban environments — perimeter patrolling, checkpoint surveillance, demonstration coverage, missing person search — where a single larger reconnaissance drone cannot cover the target area in the available time or exposes the operation to acoustic and visual countermeasures by its size and noise.
Each kit micro-drone weighs 180 grams, has a 25 cm wingspan, and carries a dual camera module with 12 MP RGB sensor for daytime documentation and 80×60 pixel resolution heat sensor for nighttime person detection. The distributed swarm coordination firmware runs on each drone's autopilot: the four drones receive the target area coordinates from the control tablet and independently calculate their position in the grid formation that maximizes coverage without overlap, dynamically renegotiating the formation when one of the drones must return to recharge — the swarm remains operational with 3, 2, or 1 drone without operator intervention.
The AES-256 encrypted 2.4/5.8 GHz frequency-hopping communication link provides 2-kilometer range in urban environment with obstacles — equivalent to the radius of a medium-density neighborhood — with 120 ms video latency for real-time monitoring on the control tablet. The sealed transport case with simultaneous four-unit USB-C charger recharges all four drones in 45 minutes from any 12V source — the patrol vehicle battery, a field battery bank, or a field generator outlet.
