Drones Latam Anti-Drone Detection and Neutralization System for Unauthorized UAVs
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Drones Latam Anti-Drone is the C-UAS (Counter-UAS) system designed for protecting critical infrastructure, military installations, and high-value events against the growing threat of unauthorized UAVs: commercial drones repurposed for unauthorized surveillance, illicit payload delivery, or FPV attacks.
The system integrates into a single mast sensor three complementary detection technologies: continuous-wave microwave radar for kinematic detection of flying objects within 5 km radius, broadband radio frequency receiver (70 MHz – 6 GHz) for drone control protocol identification (DJI OcuSync, Skydio, FrSky, Crazyflie, MAVLink and over 200 additional protocols), and PTZ electro-optical camera for visual target confirmation before activating neutralization. Real-time correlation of the three sources reduces false alarms to less than 0.1% in urban environments with high WiFi signal density.
Neutralization is performed via a 30 W EIRP directed jamming array that simultaneously covers 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz (control channels) and GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou (autonomous navigation), forcing the UAV to land at its current position or return to the takeoff point according to the manufacturer's safety configuration. The jamming is directed — 15° beamwidth beamforming — minimizing interference on friendly communications in adjacent frequencies.
