Technical overview
The Drones Latam SIM Pro is the tactical UAS pilot training system designed to accelerate the operational certification of military and police drone operators with minimum consumption of real flight hours on high-cost physical platforms.
The simulator faithfully replicates the flight physics and behavior of the Drones Latam fleet platforms (multirotors, fixed-wing, and VTOL FW) using flight dynamics models validated against real telemetry data. Tactical scenarios include urban area reconnaissance, vehicle tracking, landing zone clearing, cargo delivery, and operation under degraded link and GPS conditions.
The virtual GCS interface exactly reproduces the controls, maps, and telemetry screens of the real control station, making simulator training hours directly transferable to the physical platform. The instructor module allows freezing the simulation, injecting system failures, and modifying meteorological conditions in real time for emergency procedure training. Simulated flight hours are recorded in each pilot's file for accreditation with regulatory bodies.
