Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Drones Latam EO/IR Payload is the dual-sensor reconnaissance system designed to integrate into Class 2 and 3 UAS platforms operated in the Latin American operational theater, with optimization for jungle, highland, and Pacific coast weather conditions.
The electro-optical channel incorporates a 20 MP CMOS sensor with 30x continuous optical zoom and additional 16x digital zoom, providing vehicle identification at 3 km and person identification at 1.5 km distance. The 640x512 pixel FLIR infrared channel operates in LWIR 8-14 µm band with hot target detection at 4 km distance even in fog and tropical rain conditions.
The 3-axis stabilization with 0.02° RMS precision allows capturing sharp images in turbulence conditions up to beaufort 5. The automatic target tracking (ATT) system keeps the object of interest centered during UAS maneuvers, transmitting real-time video to the GCS via AES-256 encrypted link.
