COHU CyberDome Cyber-Resilient Dome Camera System for Data Centers and Critical Infrastructure
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The COHU CyberDome is the industrial-grade dome security camera designed specifically for critical infrastructure environments — data centers, electrical substations, nuclear plants, and operations control centers — where the most significant attack vector is not the physical threat in the field but the exploitation of IP cameras as entry points to the OT network from the surveillance network.
The dedicated ARM TrustZone cybersecurity processor implements verified secure boot with cryptographic firmware signature that prevents execution of unauthorized firmware even with physical access to the device. All video and management communication uses TLS 1.3 with X.509 certificates managed by the operator's PKI system, rejecting any connection without a valid certificate — eliminating the sniffing and man-in-the-middle risk that affects conventional IP cameras.
The embedded network intrusion detection module analyzes the camera's outbound traffic in real time and identifies anomalous patterns — data exfiltration, network scanning, communications with external C&C — generating alerts to the organization's SIEM via syslog/CEF before the threat propagates laterally in the OT network. Signed firmware updates with trust chain verification guarantee that only COHU-authorized updates can be installed, protecting against supply chain attacks.
