Codan
Codan Sentry H — Vehicular and Base HF Radio for Critical Operations
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Codan Sentry H is the reference vehicular and base HF platform for armed forces and security agencies operating in zones without reliable cellular or satellite coverage. With 150 W PEP power and automatic ALE MIL-STD-188-141C/B, the Sentry H establishes the best available link in seconds by scanning multiple frequencies and selecting the channel with the best ionospheric propagation. Integrated AES-256 voice encryption protects command communications without additional external hardware. NVIS (Near Vertical Incidence Skywave) mode enables 50–500 km regional communication from a single station, ideal for regional command networks in the Amazon jungle, Andean highlands and border zones where short-range VHF/UHF antennas don't penetrate. The integrated IP data module enables SMTP email, messaging and SCADA data at 9.6 kbps over the HF link without SATCOM.
