Technical overview
The Bitstream NTP Appliance is the Stratum-1 NTPv4 reference time server for organizations that need accurate and autonomous time synchronization in their internal network without dependence on public NTP servers on the internet.
The integrated GPS/GLONASS reference provides UTC time with ±100 ns precision. The server distributes NTP to up to 10,000 simultaneous clients with latency below 1 ms on LAN networks. In case of GPS signal loss, the internal TCXO oscillator maintains precision within ±1 ms for up to 8 hours.
The 1U rack design includes two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces for network redundancy. Administration is via SSH, SNMPv3, and web interface with two-factor authentication. Compatible with NTP clients on Windows, Linux, network equipment, and SCADA systems.
