Theon EOS Thermal Clip Long-Range Thermal Clip-On Sight for Sniper Weapon Systems

Technical overview
The Theon EOS Thermal Clip is the long-range thermal clip-on sight designed for precision marksmen and snipers who need target acquisition and engagement capability in total darkness, fog, smoke, and vegetation camouflage without replacing their calibrated daytime optical reference sight — keeping the weapon system optimized for day use while adding critical night capability with a clip-on that installs in seconds in front of the existing sight.
The Stirling-cooled indium antimonide (InSb) 640×512 pixel detector with 15 µm pitch and 18 mK thermal sensitivity (NETD) in the 3-5 µm MWIR band provides the highest-contrast thermal image available in the portable class market — superior to larger VOx uncooled detectors in low ambient temperature conditions such as those of Andean highland or high mountain operations where the temperature differential between target and background is reduced. The 1× to 4× continuous optical zoom with motorized lens controlled by the support hand thumb allows the shooter to confirm target identification at long range before the shot without moving the firing position.
The integrated ballistic module stores configurable profiles for up to 8 caliber and cartridge combinations (7.62×51 NATO, 7.62×54R, .300 Win Mag, .338 Lapua Magnum), calculating real-time point-of-impact correction on the thermal image according to the distance estimated by the integrated 50 to 3,000 meter laser rangefinder, and presenting the corrected aim point superimposed on the daytime sight reticle through the fused image clip-on.
