BreadCrumb Peregrine — Flagship Kinetic Mesh Node
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The BreadCrumb Peregrine is Rajant's top-of-line Kinetic Mesh node: four independent 2×2 MIMO radios operating simultaneously — two at 2.4 GHz and two at 5 GHz — delivering 2.3 Gbps aggregate throughput and 600 Mbps user throughput. This radio density makes the Peregrine the node for the most demanding scenarios: 4K video from multiple surveillance cameras, high-sampling-rate telemetry, and critical safety communications operating in parallel on the same mesh infrastructure.
The InstaMesh protocol simultaneously evaluates all available paths between the four radios and switches in less than 10 ms — a property especially valuable in the Peregrine given that its greater bandwidth amplifies the impact of any interruption. In defense operations, the Peregrine is typically installed as the anchor node at command posts or command vehicles: it serves as a high-bandwidth concentrator to which portable LynX nodes from field operators connect, maintaining the throughput difference between the field network and command center.
