Technical overview
The Pelican 1650 Protector Case is the most-used medium-large tactical container in US Army, USMC and NATO allied force deployments for transporting communications equipment, sensors and mission-critical electronics.
Its high-density polypropylene (HDPE) structure withstands compressive loads of up to 450kg and 1.5m drop impact resistance without equipment damage. The dual silicone gasket sealing system and automatic pressure relief valve ensure IP67 watertightness at 1m immersion for 30 minutes — and continuous operation in tropical rain, desert dust and high-humidity Amazon jungle environments.
The 5cm-thick Pick-N-Pluck polyurethane foam (bottom + lid) allows custom configuration by pulling out 2.5cm sections to fit exactly to each equipment's geometry: complete Harris Falcon III radio with accessories, FLIR Boson camera kit, or four portable radios with spare batteries. ATA 300 Category 1 certified for transport on C-130, C-17 and CH-47 without cargo restriction.
