MORAD
MORAD ECM Backpack Portable Electronic Countermeasures System
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The MORAD ECM Backpack is the portable electronic countermeasures system designed for special operators, VIP protection teams, and information operations units who need offensive and defensive capability in the electromagnetic spectrum without depending on vehicle platforms.
The system operates in the full 30 to 512 MHz band with 20 W EIRP output power, simultaneously covering enemy command links in HF/VHF/UHF and radio-activated IED detonation frequencies. The adaptive frequency scanning architecture detects active signals in milliseconds and applies directed jamming only on enemy channels, preserving friendly communications in the adjacent spectrum.
The dual operating mode allows the team to work in both defensive counter-jamming — protecting their own command frequencies — and selective offensive jamming against adversary communications nodes. The high-density Li-Po battery provides 4 hours of continuous operation at full power, extendable to 8 hours with the extended battery kit. Total system weight is 8 kg distributed in two pockets of a MOLLE-compatible tactical backpack.
