Technical overview
The Morad Counter-UAV is the integrated counter-drone (C-UAS) defense solution designed to protect critical infrastructure facilities, high-density events, and forward operating bases against the growing threat of modified commercial drones and adversarial UAS systems.
The system integrates three complementary detection layers: a passive RF sensor that detects drone control signals and operator communications in 30 MHz-6 GHz, a short-range surveillance radar for volumetric detection, and a FLIR thermal camera for visual confirmation and target identification at 1.5 km. Data fusion from all three layers in the C2 management software reduces the false alarm rate to below 0.5%.
Neutralization is carried out by a directed high-power RF jammer that disrupts the drone's control link and GPS receiver without affecting communications of the protected infrastructure. Effective neutralization range is 800 meters for category 1 and 2 drones. The system operates in 24/7 autonomous mode or under human operator supervision.
