INVISIO
INVISIO M50 High-Performance Binaural Communications System for High-Noise Environment Operations
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The INVISIO M50 is the military-grade binaural communications and hearing protection system designed for the highest acoustic aggression environments of the modern battlefield: artillery, assault forces with long arms, armored vehicle operators, and ship deck personnel where repeated exposure to sound levels above 140 dB is an operational reality.
The system uses two deep-insertion earbuds with NRR 30 dB passive protection acting as a first-level barrier against muzzle blast and weapon impulsive noise. On this passive basis, the active ambient transparency circuit analyzes the acoustic environment at 96 kHz and faithfully reproduces alert sounds — footsteps, voices, commands — while suppressing in less than 0.5 milliseconds any sound impulse above 82 dB. The result is complete protection against gunfire while the operator maintains full acoustic situational awareness of the environment.
The dual bone conduction microphone — one in each earpiece — provides high-clarity voice pickup even in 120 dB ambient noise environments, without requiring a throat or external helmet microphone. The pocket control unit with U-94A or NEXUS TP-120 connector is compatible with all major manufacturer military handheld radios and allows channel selection and volume control with combat gloves.
