Drones Latam Counter-UAS Unauthorized Drone Detection and Neutralization System for Critical Infrastructure
Technical specifications
Technical overview
The Drones Latam Counter-UAS is the unauthorized UAS threat detection and response system designed for the Latin American critical infrastructure environment where the threat of commercial drones modified for reconnaissance, payload delivery, or SCADA control system interference is no longer a planning hypothesis but a documented attack vector at oil facilities, electrical substations, and penitentiary centers in the region.
The system operates an omnidirectional antenna array covering the 400 MHz to 6 GHz spectrum — including the 433 MHz, 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5.8 GHz control bands used by the most common commercial drone manufacturers — with a real-time spectrum analyzer with 100 Hz resolution that detects proprietary protocol control bursts from DJI OcuSync/Lightbridge, Autel SkyLink, and Skydio LINK at 3 km distance, even when the operator uses pre-programmed autonomous flight modes that reduce telemetry transmission density.
Signal correlation with a protocol signature database — field-updatable via USB — distinguishes between authorized drones with registered transponders and unidentified threats, generating geofence alerts when an unauthorized UAS enters the configured protection perimeter. The selective RF inhibition option operates via narrow-band jamming focused on the detected control protocol, without affecting LTE communications, corporate Wi-Fi, or TETRA/P25 professional radios operating in adjacent bands.
