Cohu Thermal PTZ 360 Multi-sensor EO/IR Camera for 24h Perimeter Surveillance

The Cohu Thermal PTZ 360 is the critical perimeter surveillance multi-sensor camera that integrates in a single sealed PTZ platform a 4K optical camera with 30x zoom and a 640x480 pixel uncooled LWIR thermal sensor, eliminating the need to install and maintain two separate turrets for day and night coverage.

The LWIR thermal sensor detects human intruders at distances up to 1,500 meters in zero-visibility conditions: heavy rain, dense fog, smoke, or complete darkness, relying on the temperature difference between the body and environment rather than visible light. The 4K daylight camera complements with facial and license plate identification once the video analytics system alerts on a thermal detection, creating an automated detection-identification workflow.

The internal pressurization design with dry nitrogen purge ensures condensation-free and internal fog-free operation in high-humidity environments and abrupt temperature changes. The PTZ platform withstands winds up to 180 km/h and operates in the -40°C to +60°C range, compatible with installation on perimeter towers of maritime facilities, refineries, and military bases.
